Nov. 2010 1st primary hand surgery to correct deformed hand, Feb. 2011 2nd primary hand surgery as it didn't heal correctly, and April 1st surgery to fix primary frozen shoulder. Results ... Sept. 2011 diagnosed with CRSP/RSD but could've had it since 2004. I now live with an even more deformed primary hand than I had before but force it to work. Bright side of it is ... I did get some movement back in the arm. I have had 2 Stellate Ganglion Blocks as of Nov. 2011 and so far I think it's helping. I take Neurontin at bedtime, Naproxin by the handfuls during the day, and Tylenol for Migraines in back of my neck. This is all new to me and can't go thru this alone. I will Pay it Forward. I live in Collinsville and would love to chat back n forth. I'm new to CRPS/RSD and Oklahoma. I just got my 2nd block done and don't even have a DR yet. Could anyone recommend a good one in Tulsa that is familiar with CRPS? I'm only going to Tulsa Pain Consultants for the blocks and Neurontin. I'm 48, a stay at home, I live with my hubby BiLL who works for AT&T, and we're raising our Grandson LiL BiLL age 6 who is Special Needs. Somehow I missed seeing this email - so sorry. I am like you - the colder weather hits and I am in so much pain (husband doesn't believe in this but I sure do!). I would love to talk with you! I hope you went easy on your move to Sperry - it is times like that that I tend to do too much and end up really hurting for days afterward. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. We have Christmas eve at our house (granddaughters go to visit there dad on Christmas day so it works out well anyway). Plan to have all my family here so trying to pace myself. The girls are so excited and that makes the rest of us excited. I will get back with you after the holidays and maybe we can talk! That would be so great! Take care and remember to pace, pace, pace. My doc gave me a visual of "How to eat an elephant - one bite at a time". Funny and sometimes helps me to remember. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I would love to write back and forth! I really wanted to attend the Pain Seminar in OKC but just too far to go right now. I have had RSD for over 13 years now. I would love to start a group for this area but just not equipped with the "How!" Would love to meet up with you sometime and compare notes on the life we find ourselves in now. We are also helping raise our two granddaughters and know those stresses as well. Anyway just got back from having my eyes dialated (sp?) so will end for now. Really glad to "meet you!"
