About Me

I WAS INJURED AT WORK IN AUGUST 09, I HAVE HAD 2 DOCTORS SAY I HAVE RSD/CRPS, AND NOW MY NEW DR SAYS I HAVE CARPOL TUNNEL AND A TORN LIGAMENT,, I REALLY BELIVE I HAVE RSD. I HIT MY RIGHT POINTER FINGER ON A MACHINE AT WORK AND MY WRIST WAS COMPLETLY BENT INWORD AND TWISTED, NOW I HAVE CONSTANT BURNING IN MY PALM AND WRIST. I HAD A PAIN MANAGMENT SPEACIALIST SAY I HAVE RSD AND WAS STARTING TO TREAT ME FOR IT. NOW THIS IS A WORKMANS COMP CASE AND I HAVE A NEW DR WHO SENT ME FOR AN MRI AND THE DR THERE SAID IT REALLY SOUNDS AND LOOKS LIKE RSD. SHE WAS VERY KIND AND WORKED WELL WITH ME, I SUFFERED THROUGH THE MRI SO I CAN TRY TO GET SOME CLOSURE TO THIS PAIN. NEXT I HAVE A MRG I THINK ITS CALLED ON THE 27TH OF MAY, AND THE NEW DR WILL TELL ME WHAT THE DIAGNOSES IS. I'M VERY SCARED ABOUT THE WHOLE SITUATON.

Dee, I am sorry I didn't respond to you sooner, but I just received your message, even though you sent it over a month ago!! I will pray that all goes well for you and you get the treatment you need and deserve.

Dee, disregard this last post, I was going to delete it and his the reply button instead. I was commenting on a test you said you were to have done on the 27th of May and then I wasn't sure if it was from last year or if you were having it done this May. I am sorry if it confused you. I am also so sorry to read about you current problems and please keep my posted on you condition. If you are able to get a stimulator, let me know and I will try to answer any questions you have. Sue

Hi Dee, I read your post on the Pain blog. I pray that you are feeling better. I haven't been on the website in a while, otherwise I would have responded earlier. I'm not sure what your faith situation is and I definitly do not want to preach at you; however, I have found that God has really helped me through the pain, the isolation, the crazy doc's, etc. Please feel free to call me at any point! My number is 214.717.3074... for anything that you need!

I am sorry I didn't see this post sooner. I have been having some other health problems and have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The neurostimulator has been a God send for me. I can't imagine trying to live without now!! My pain management doctor is Dr. Gerald Hale. He is at the Oklahoma Surgical Hospital building by ORU. He is absolutely wonderful. I also had nerve blocks done with no relief. One thing I will caution you about is if you are asked to have a chemical sympathectomy. DO NOT do this. With this procedure, a chemical called Phenol is injected to "kill" the sympathetic nerve--if it does work, it is only temporary, as the sympathetic nerve will regenerate. I had more pain and problems after this procedure and regret doing it to this day. But if you are a candidate for the neurostimulator, I highly recommend it. I have had mine for abour 1 1/2 years. Sue
