thanks for all the great response.. every little thing really helps... i also thought i was a freak.. dr pettingel finally diagnosed me with rsd,, and has requested 3 nurve blocks.. i also have carpol tunnel,, and in the same right wrist, i have torn ligaments.. so,, WOW!!!! all this since aug 09... not happy with the outcome ,, but glad to have a plan of action,.,, no one seams to understand what pain i feel , only you guys,, so thanks for all comments.. they all really help,, i have read them over and over and cryed and cryed.... just knowing that someone understands,, i mean really understands , make a huge huge difference.. i dont have the e-net at home but will be back on line soon.. thanks for this awsome place and all the great help,,

I've never had something this strange the pain never goes away 100%. The tight glove on my left hand is so painful and the swelling is awful it is so awkward to not be able to close you hand all the way. I've had a ulna & medial nerve release in Dec. and had lots of stiffness and pain in the other wrist "The Dr. Kept me in PT several weeks and I do have some feeling again in my right hand. The RSD has only effected the Rt. Wrist part of the time. I pray for all my OK RSD friends.
I've been using a TENS unit on my knees, which seems to help a bit. I tried the nerve root block, but that wasn't effective. My doctor was going to recommend a spinal cord stimulator trial, but died the day he sent the letter into my insurance company. As it turns out, the pain has spread so far since last July that would not have helped. Prayer seems to be the most effective thing to help with my mental state. My husband is an alcoholic, and goes to AA; and I've started to go to Al Anon as a support group. The whole program is designed about ME getting well and that has been helpful with my CRPS.
Yes, I finally found a doctor who is wonderful. He's willing to write the correct meds to manage my condition, and is working out well. Thanks for asking.
It would be great to have a meeting. I am only available Mondays and Tuesdays since I am still having to work full time with my RSD. Let me know if you come up with something. Connie and I would love to sit in on a meeting and maybe it can help her to understand my issue a little more.
